THE CHALLENGE
NIWC Pacific needed a versatile and robust 5G infrastructure to support a variety of applications, from enterprise wireless to tactical military operations. The goal was to create a comprehensive 5G network evaluation testbed for the Department of Defense, capable of handling diverse use cases and rigorous R&D testing
THE SOLUTION
GXC deployed its 5G Open RAN solution at NIWC Pacific, offering a vendor-agnostic and technology-neutral infrastructure. This setup supports multiple use cases such as smart warehouses, emergency management, flight line operations, and ISR and C2 tactical deployments. The deployment facilitates extensive 5G experimentation and evaluation in two laboratory environments.
