Universidad de San Andrés, founded in 1988, is a leading private institution in Argentina. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs in various disciplines, standing out for its academic excellence, innovation in teaching and research, and a strong focus on critical thinking and leadership. With a qualified faculty and modern facilities, it is a benchmark in higher education in Latin America

THE CHALLENGE

Due to the expansion of its network and systems architecture, the University of San Andrés found the need to have a better Internet connection service and capacity to meet the new technological requirements that its IT structure demands, as well as the growing expectations of the users that attend the university on a daily basis. With more than 1200 simultaneous users, it was crucial to have a robust and reliable network

THE SOLUTION

Convergia implemented three high quality CxC Wireline services to meet the needs of the University of San Andres: :

Symmetric and Dedicated Link at Each Site: Symmetric and dedicated links were installed at each of the university’s two sites, guaranteeing fast and stable Internet service

MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) Service: An MPLS service was implemented between the two sites to centralize connectivity, ensuring that users have constant access to network resources regardless of their location on campus

Improved Network Infrastructure: The new infrastructure allowed for better network management and administration, with specialized technical support and personalized attention

THE RESULT

“The implementation of CxC Wireline significantly increased the quality of Internet service, benefiting approximately 1,200 simultaneous users. The design and implementation process was very positive in terms of coordination, time and technical expertise. Highlights of Convergia’s support include a high level of customer service, technical expertise and the competitiveness of the economic offer.” – Federico Tonti – Information Technology University of San Andres
