GrandStream and Convergia complete portfolio alliance for CxC SIP Trunking service

Monterrey, Mexico– August 31, 2022: Grandstream, a company that has been connecting the world through its award-winning SIP Unified Communications solutions and Wi-Fi networking equipment since 2002, and Convergia México, a Pan-American Value-Added Distributor of Connectivity and IoT solutions form a strategic alliance to offer better solutions to the communications market.

Grandstream and Convergia Mexico have completed interoperability testing for a solution that combines Grandstream’s 6300 series GRP carrier-grade IP phones and UCM Switches with Convergia’s CxC SIP Trunking service for voice communications and collaboration tools. With this, they aim to provide business customers with a solution that improves user experience and cuts costs in the market.

“We are very pleased with this alliance with Convergia Mexico to offer our operator-grade terminals together with Convergia’s already recognized ‘CxC SIP Trunk’ solution,” said Mario Hernandez, Sales Manager of Grandstream in Mexico. “This initiative demonstrates our mission in Grandstream of improving productivity in companies with the adoption of cost-efficient communication solutions, thanks to IP terminals from Grandstream and leading technology partners such as Convergia.”

“With this new alliance with Grandstream, we were able to improve the user experience with terminals fully integrated into our cloud platform. Our main objective is to achieve an optimal experience for the end user in their business communications and to provide complete terminal options to meet the needs of small to large companies,” said Guillermo Arbelaez, Regional Cloud Manager of Convergia

Grandstream offers an ideal IP phone for each type of user, and now with the new carrier-grade GRP series GRP260x basic range and GRP261x business range, they meet the most demanding technical requirements of cloud telephony providers. The GRP series has the necessary technology to simplify the management and deployment of ‘Convergia CxC SIP Trunking‘, maintaining security in communications and system configurations. The end user will have the basic GRP series equipment, with high-definition audio, up to high ranges with advanced options for Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth devices, as well as modules for reception posts with high call volume.

***** SIP trunks can offer significant cost savings for small and medium-sized businesses by eliminating the need for local PSTN gateways, PRI (Primary Rate Interfaces), and costly ISDN BRIs (Basic Rate Interfaces). Unlike the physical cable bundles used in traditional telephony, a SIP trunk allows a business to replace these fixed PSTN lines with PSTN connectivity through a SIP trunk service provider on the Internet. ****
